If you’ve been waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S9 (and S9+) to pass JerryRigEverything’s Durability test, it’s time to grab the popcorn.
And if you were fearing the worst you can breathe a sigh of relief. The duo of Galaxies will withstand any regular-day beating you might throw at it.
As per usual, JerryRigEverything tested the phone’s glass’ scratch resistance – normal – its burn resistance – better than most OLEDs as the screen pixels recovered – and its bend resistance – the phones didn’t bend.
The stronger aluminum used in the Galaxy S9 and S9+ seemingly doesn’t dramatically change the phone’s rigidity. It didn’t bend but neither did its predecessor.
We’ll have to wait for a drop test to see if the stronger glass makes a noticeable difference.
