Samsung Pay is off to a robust start in Korea with $30 million in transactions in the first month

Samsung revealed that Samsung Pay is off to a robust start in Korea. The Korean giants recently announced payment service has raked in $30 million in transactions in the first month after its launch.

Thanks to wide acceptance among local businesses, Samsung Pay accumulated more than 1.5 million transactions through September 20. Curiously, 60% of all payments have been made by the Samsung Galaxy Note5.

Samsung Pay will launch in the United States in less than a week, on September 28. The tech giant has plans to roll out the service in the United Kingdom, China, and Spain in the near future.
