While June hasn’t even begun, the Android security update for the month has already started hitting the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge smartphone. Specifically, the update is being rolled out to units on carrier Orange in Spain.
This is not the first time a Samsung device has started getting a monthly security update in advance – the Galaxy Note 4 started receiving the May security update towards the end of April. There’s currently no information on what else (if at all) the latest Galaxy S7 edge update includes.
As is usually the case with OTA rollouts, it may take some time for the update to hit your device. Meanwhile, if you’re feeling impatient, you can manually check for it by heading to the Settings menu on your handset.
