This is the second day since many of you started receiving your OnePlus 5 devices from the early sale. Just over the weekend, the phone received an update to OxygenOS 4.5.2 offering a number of stability fixes and optimizations. Today, another OTA update is being pushed to the OnePlus 5, though its not the promised stabilization for 4K recording.
The new OTA update bumps OxygenOS to 4.5.3 and offers bug fixed for dropped Wi-Fi signal, a Google Translate hiccup, and a fix for the Expanded screenshot feature. In addition, tweaks and optimizations have been made to the System, Camera app stability, and auto-brightness adjustment.
We like to see when phone makers push frequent updates, especially during the first days of the phones launch. It shows that the company is on top of the game making sure that everyones experience is velvety smooth and customers dont need to wait weeks for a fix.
The update is rolling out now and is 54MB, but you can manually check for the update by heading into Settings > System Updates > Check for Updates.
Thanks for the tip, Zinkbela!
