Nougat-powered Samsung Galaxy S7 active gets WiFi certified

Looks like the active variant of the Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone – which is an AT&T exclusive – is set to get the Nougat update soon as an Android 7.0-powered model has been granted WiFi certification by the WiFi Alliance (WFA).

This comes nearly a month after a Galaxy S7 active running Android 7.0 Nougat was spotted on popular benchmarking website GFXBench.

Sadly, there’s currently no information on when the update will be rolled out, but given that it has started collecting necessary certifications, we expect the roll out to begin sooner than later.
