Lenovo has launched a new mid-range Android smartphone the Lenovo S5 in China. It will be available in three variants and will compete against the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 in China.
The S5 has a 5.7-inch, 2160×1080 resolution 18:9 display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage or 4GB RAM with 64GB or 128GB of storage. On the back is a dual 13MP (RGB) + 13MP (monochrome) camera and a fingerprint sensor. On the front is a 16MP camera. The S5 has a 3000mAh battery and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with ZUI 3.7.
The Lenovo S5 is priced at RMB 999 ($157) for the 3/32GB model, RMB 1199 ($189) for the 4/64GB model and RMB 1499 ($236) for the 4/128GB model. Currently only available in China.
