AnTuTu shows the Samsung Galaxy M2 will have a 1080p+ display

The Samsung Galaxy M2 is starting to look better and better specs details by AnTuTu reveal a 1,080 x 2,340px screen. Thats better than the J-series phones, which have 720p displays. The Exynos 7885 chipset is better than most J phones too.

The 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage combo was confirmed, the M2 is also supposed to have a 64GB version (it wouldnt surprise us if that one has more RAM). The rest is as expected were referring to Android 8.1 Oreo. Samsung is just now starting to update flagships to Pie, these entry-level phones will have to wait.

We say entry-level as the M-series is thought to take over from Galaxy On, the online-exclusive versions of J-phones. Meanwhile, the J-series will merge into the A-series. Thats a roundabout way of saying that the M-series will feature entry-level phones.

But even if it targets the mid-range, the 2 in Galaxy M2 suggests a phone with more modest specs. It seems like Samsung is gearing up for a fight with Xiaomi and the like.
