Amazon’s Alexa will launch in Italy and Spain by the end of year. Amazon has released the Alexa Skills Kit to developers to build voice experiences in Italian and Spanish. The move aims to build up a number of Alexa skills and voice commands for the Italians and Spanish before the Echo smart speakers launch in the two countries later this year.
The Alexa Skills Kit is a collection of APIs and tools that let developers create voice-driven abilities. And Alexa will automatically add natural voice understanding to those skills so that developers won’t need to worry about that.
If a developer already has an existing skill that works in English, German, Japanese or French, it’s very easy to update it to work in Italian and Spanish.
